ONITSHA—The seven-man committee instituted by All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, to reconcile aggrieved members has rejected former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, who was allegedly said to have indicated interest to return to the party.

Obi had dumped APGA for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as soon as he left office as governor on the platform of the party for eight years.

Speaking to Vanguard, Chairman of the reconciliation committee, Chief Maja Umeh, said his mandate was not to reconcile party members like the former governor who left the party for another party and even worked against APGA in recent elections.

He said: “His reconciliation with APGA as reported in some social media and newspapers is not part of my mandate and my committee dissociates itself from such reports and at the same time we urge the general public to discountenance the reports.”
