ABUJA—TO ensure a better service delivery in its operations, the Nigerian Military is seeking a quick passage of the Defence Space Agency Bill currently before the National Assembly.

The Director-General of the Agency AVM Tommy Udo, made the appeal, when he led the management team of Defence Space Agency on a working visit to the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.

The minister, who justified the importance of science and technology to the improvement of military operations, said the Federal Government would do everything possible to support the DSA and put all the necessary structures in place to encourage the space sector because of the relevant role it could play in the development agenda of the present administration.

With the population advantage of Nigeria, coupled with the highest economy in the continent, he noted, the decision to pass the bill establishing the agency would turn the agency around and bring in dynamism and ensure adherence to world best practice in their operations.
