UMUAHIA—THE Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Prof. Francis Otunta has said that the University authority did not summon one of its staff, Dr. Bertrand Nduka Nwankwojike who was the returning officer in the recent Abia North Senatorial re-run election to restrain him from talking about the election.

A national daily [not Vanguard] reported that the Vice Chancellor conveyed a management meting of the University where Dr. Nwankwojike was allegedly summoned and cautioned against making any comment on the Abia North Senatorial election.

Dr. Nwankwojike, himself has also denied that he was summoned in a meeting, saying that he has never met the vice chancellor one-on-one since he assumed office less than one month ago.
