Easter: Cleric advises Nigerians to have hope in God

DUTSE—Head, Mass Communication Department, Hassan Usman Polytechnic, Katsina, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Usman has said Nigeria cannot survive without entrepreneurial skills.
He called on media to report more of business activities showcasing potentials in the country instead of focusing more on government functions.

Nigerian youths
Dr. Muhammad Bashir Usman, made the call while speaking on the topic, ‘Media role in economic development’ during the two-day entrepreneurial journalism training workshop, organised by Voice of America, VOA, over the weekend.
He said: “Media are powerful means of information, re-orientation and mobilization. Let us use the media to boost entrepreneurship for better national development, as we cannot survive without entrepreneurial as Nigeri.a”
The HOD explained that it was a known fact that the media could do and undo in the change perception of happenings around the globe, saying “media is a ready-made tool to improve the economy of our country through persistent reports on businesses.”
Bashir said: “This will change the minds of a lot of young Nigerians to see how they can come and create wealth for themselves.”Entrepreneurial remains the best option for all Nigerians whether as a civil servant or otherwise, the idea of civil service is just slavery.”
