PORT HARCOURT: Hundreds of voters were at the RAC in Abalama community, Asari Toru local government area waiting for materials to be distributed to the 31 units of Ward 11.

In Buguma, headquarters of the local government, materials left the RAC at Kalabari National College, KNC at about 10.50am. There are 10 wards in Buguma.

There are three RAC centres in the local government. One at Abalama, another at Buguma and the third at Krakrama. There are a total of 13 wards in the local government area.

Insecurity mars distribution of materials

Vanguard gathered that insecurity  marred the distribution of electoral materials in Buguma, Asari-Toru Local Government Area.

One of the Electoral Officers who revealed this to Vanguard said the INEC official had delayed the distribution of the materials because of security threat.

The source said until a reliable security presence arrives that the materials would not be moved to the different units.

Recall that Buguma is one of the flashpoints in this election.
