Following the successful completion of the 2016 CMCL organized tour of Las Vegas, U.S.A which attracted a record of 36-participants, attention now shifts to Smokin Hills in Ilara-Mokin, where the 18th in the series of CMCL Open Golf Championship has been scheduled to hold.

Disclosing this during the week, the Chief Executive Officer of CMCL Golf Tours Limited, Frank Igbene said the coming event will be a special one considering the fact that it Marks the 60th birthday  of Otunba Olusola Adekanola who is the chairman of CMCL.

Amateur Golfers from across the Country have been invited to Participate. While the Nigerian Profession will also be playing as the Open has always been a Pro-Am Event.

The competition will tee-off on the 16th of May and will run through to the 22nd of the same month.

Already, the coming event has started attracting lots of comment within the golfing community even as preparation for the tournament gathers momentum.

It’s on record that CMCL Open golf championship is the longest running professional and amateur event in the West Africa sub region.
