Niger Delta activist and Chairman of Warri South West Monitoring Group, WSWMG, Ebiwei Loye, has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to beam its search light on the activities of the Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
He also wants the Chairman of the council, Mr George Ekpemukpolo, to be made to give account of his stewardship particularly during his first tenure.
He said: “We want the Chairman of Warri South West council, Ekpemukpolo, to give the people an account of his activities in office since the council affair is not a personal business and the leadership of the council should know that he is holding the position in trust for the people.”
Imploring the council boss to give proper account to those who elected him, the group said; “The time has come for the EFCC to investigate the activities of Warri South West council. It is our right to know how our council is run. The Chairman should explain how he is managing our funds.”
