PRESIDENT of Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, Evangelist Solomon Ogba and first Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee will declare the Sport For All Forum for Directors of State Sports Councils which kickstarts today at the Command Guest House, Apapa, Lagos.

Chairman of the Nigeria Sport For All Commission, Prince Henry Amike confirmed that 30 States had  indicated interest for the two-day Talkshop that has assembled renowned international speakers to deliver papers on wide ranging issues on sports.

‘’As at yesterday, we had 30 states ready for the seminar. We may still exceed that number as the remaining state Directors may join their colleagues in the seminar’’, Amike who assured that the seminar will ‘’impact positively on Nigerian sports’’ added.

Dr. A.K. Amao will deliver a paper titled “Negative use of drug while Prof. Clement Fasan will deliver a paper titled ‘’Marketing and sports sponsorship. Prof.  Seun Omotayo will deliver a paper on Aerobic and Exercises while Dr. Sikuade Jagun will speak on ‘’Volunteerism in Sports, Nigeria persepective.

Scribe for Sport For All, Augustine Odijie said that NOC’s marketer, Adekoya Taiwo and Nelson Ine will also speak on marketing as it affects Nigeria’s participation at the forth-coming Rio Olympics in Brazil.

Stakeholders like Dr Rafiu Ladipo, Chief Frank Okonta, Mrs Tayo Oreweme(Liaison Officer, NSC), Tony Oyetayo, Chief Jerry Okaro among others have assured that the seminar will change the face of sports in the states as Directors would transfer the knowledge acquired to their various states.
