Following the violent communal clash between the Hausa and Yoruba community, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode , in swift reaction to quell the crisis, placed immediate curfew in locations where the fracas occurred and ordered the popular Mile 12 Market in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, LCDA, shut indefinitely.
Ambode who gave the order during media briefing at the State House, Alausa, Ikeja, in company of the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem; Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde.
