LOKOJA—Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to Kogi State Governor, Kingsley Fanwo, yesterday said the aides appointed by Governor Yaya Bello’ were better placed to drive the government change agenda.
Fanwo, who spoke to newsmen in Lokoja, said the appointment of Mrs. Ayoade Folashade as the Secretary to the State government was strategic in meeting the criteria of competence, gender and ethnic balance and a clear focus on the task of repositioning the state.

“The Governor of Kogi State is determined to reposition the state as reflected in his recent appointment of the Secretary to the State Government and other advisers and assistants. The choice of Dr. Folashade Ayoade as SSG is to assure the womenfolk in the state of the readiness of the Governor to give them the chance to contribute to the advancement of the state.”
“The Special Advisers and Assistants appointed by the Governor are men and women of competence, honour, who are intellectually mobile and ready to key into the New Direction for Change Agenda”.
Fanwo also said the Governor is moving the state forward, regardless of the antics of some antagonists who are enemies of the state masses.
“The first 30 days of the Governor was laden with unprecedented achievements that has set the tone for a historic tenure. Within his first week in office, he was able to resolve the hitherto intractable face-off between labour and government, which had kept labour out of work for months before he took over on January 27, 2016,” he said.
