WARRI—A lawyer and  chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Wilson Alasha, has enjoined Nigerians to join President Muhammadu Buhari in the fight against corruption and unwholesome activities, saying that the country will bounce back to glory.

According to him, President Buhari inherited a lot of socio-economic vices that crippled the nation’s economy, insisting that efforts must be geared towards revamping the bastardised economy, including terrorism and political backwardness.

Alasha, who defected to APC with scores of his allies, said that he didn’t pitch tent with the party to seek political office, adding that his action was borne out of the fact that APC has credible men and women that can take the country to the promised land.

He told newsmen in Warri, Delta State, that President Buhari has respect for human rights, adding: “The problem we had initially was that Buhari was a military man, and had no patience for indolence as that is what obtains in the military.”

On the fight against corruption,  he said, “Buhari has made up his mind to fight corruption to a standstill but it is the elites that say the fight is one sided and if you look critically into this issue you find that the elites are the most corrupt.”

On the fall of the Naira, the APC stalwart affirmed that the currency will rise again, stressing that in life, “There are ups and downs and we should not use this matter to crucify our president.”
