By Abdulwahab Abdulah & Jane Echewedo

Lagos State government, yesterday, closed its case before an Ikeja High Court against Seun Oladapo, accused of killing a Lagos lawyer, Mr. Kunle Fadipe, while attempting to rob his family.

Fadipe, a former Human Rights Commission official, was attacked alongside some of his family members, including his mother-in-law, by Oladapo, a development which led to his death.

At the resumed hearing of the case yesterday, the prosecution, led by Mr. Jide Martins, informed the court that it had closed its case after presenting its last witness to the court.

Inspector James Adetoye, the last prosecution witness, told the court that photographs tendered before the court as exhibit in the ongoing trial was taken by the CID’s forensic department at the scene of the crime.

However, counsel to the defendant, Walter Oduagbaka objected to the exhibit and urged the court to reject it, holding that the photographs were not taken by members of the police forensic team.

The matter was adjourned till today for the defendant to open his defence.
