Nigeria Pension Consumer Symposium holds in Lagos

Maiden edition of Nigeria Pension Consumer Symposium was held in Lagos recently, at the Protea Hotel Leadway, Ikeja. In his keynote address, Mr. Longe Eguarek, Managing director of AIICO Pension spoke on the future of Nigeria Pension industry.

The symposium which was designed to create a window of opportunity for workers in Lagos to be able to rub minds and ask questions on grey areas from leaders and professionals in the pension industry was also designed to sensitize employers and workers on the importance of subscribing to the contributory pension scheme in Nigeria.

Other dignitaries at the symposium are: Mr. M.A. Umar, Head, South-West zonal office; Mrs. Nkem Oni-Egboma,  MD, Zenith Pension Custodian Limited and Mr. Babatunde Salawu of Optimum Continental formerly Skye Bank Resources Limited.

Adesanya Abidemi, the project director said that the next edition of the program will take place in Abuja and Port Harcourt in April and July respectively.

He also said that the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA) and other relevant stakeholders will be invited to take part in future editions of the program.
