Delta Marine School needs boats

The Chairman of the Governing Council of the Delta State School of Marine Technology (DESMATECH), Burutu, Isah Clark, led other members of the Council on a three- day visit across the three campuses of the school.

The Governing Council members, received by the Ag Provost of Delta State School of Marine Technology , Dr CEO Anuku, at the Burutu Campus, were conducted round the school.

In his welcome speech, Anuku hinted the Council on the challenges facing the school. These, he said, to include lack of boats for staff and students transit, infrastructures and low revenue base among others.

Clark, while responding, said that he and his team were on a familiarization visit of the institutions.

“We are here today to have a direct assessment of what is on ground, so we can put up those things that we need most in these hard times of economic meltdown before Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.”

On Clark’s entourage were Dr. David Ighovojah, Dr. Alex Obuh, Mrs Roli Kpenosen and Captain Tony Onokarigho.

On the team of Anuku who received the delegation were  Mr H. Ofili, Mr O.S Izomoh, Engr Festus Akpule, Mr Oke Onokpite and Engr Famous Akpoyibo among others.
