ABEOKUTA—The Ogun State Police Command has arrested some suspected cultists, involved in the killing of one Yusuf Ogidan in Agbado area recently and those who kidnapped two female teenagers in Onihale area of Ogun State.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement said the Police operatives attached to Agbado Division of the command, on Tuesday, embarked on massive raid of black spots in Agbado and its environs after the police got a tip-off on the whereabouts of some suspected cultists.
He said, the cultists were members of Aye and Alora, who had clashed within the area recently for supremacy, which led to the death of Yusuf Ogidan, and arrested six members of Aye confraternity.
He said the suspects are Michael Ayodele, Taofik Adeosun, Oladipupo Damilare, Femi Iseotan, Samuel Akinyele and Anjorin Ismaila.
According to him, the suspects have made useful statements in connection with the killing of Yusuf Ogidan, a member of Alora confraternity.
…Rescue two teenaged girls from abductors
Similarly, the Police detectives attached to Otta Division led by the Divisional Police officer have rescued two female teenagers from their abductors on Tuesday, while on anti-crime patrol along Ijako/Sona road Otta, in Ado Odo Otta Local Government Area of Ogun State.
