As the world celebrates  the New Year coupled with the usual habit of Nigerian clerics forecasting doom for the country, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain,  Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has said that  those prophesying doom for the country in 2016 will fail.

Onuesoke, at his country home in Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, when he hosted some key members of PDP in his ward to a dinner,  wondered  how long Nigerians would  continue to listen to prophets of doom.

He said that while other countries were planning on how to make it in 2016, Nigerian clerics were busy prophesying doom every year,  adding that Nigeria had been taken hostage by liars and con men who parade themselves as politicians and prophets.
