Ado-Ekiti—Following the All Progressives Congress, APC’s allegation that Governor Ayo Fayose’s victory at the June 21 governorship election was aided by the military, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ekiti State has described the APC outcry as a cock and bull stories.

The PDP said Governor Ayodele Fayose and the PDP have nothing to fear about the military panel.

It advised the APC to stop crying over its electoral misfortunes in the state, as the people of Ekiti are not deceived by its lies and fabrication, saying the PDP is consolidating its hold on the state and that crying over spilled milk amounts to nothing.

The PDP, which spoke through the State Publicity Secretary, Jackson Adebayo, in Ado-Ekiti yesterday, said the claim by Taiwo Olatubosun of the APC that Governor Ayodele Fayose sent emissary to the military panel investigating the role of the military in Ekiti and Osun governorship elections could not have come out of a sound mind.

“Right-thinking Nigerians know that the stock in trade of the APC is that whatever they failed to get, no matter how good, they will make all efforts to rubbish it. For the records, the military maintained peace during the Edo, Anambra, Ekiti, Osun and many other governorship polls some of which were won by the APC,” it said.
