ABAKALIKI—THE National and State House of Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abakaliki, Tuesday, dismissed the petition filed by Mr. Godwin Nwankpuma challenging the Election of the Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Francis Nwifuru.

Delivering judgment on the matter, the Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Joel Agya held that Mr. Nwankpuma failed to prove  allegations of corrupt practices and non- compliance with the Electoral Act which according to him marred the Election substantially.
