PRINCE Abubakar Audu, former Kogi State governor and the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already training thugs for the November election.

Addressing a zonal rally in Kabba, last week,Prince Audu stated that the ruling PDP in the state has recruited 10 thugs from each of the 21 local councils of the state.

While charging the party supporters to be vigilant, the APC flag bearer equally asked them to kill any thug that dares them as their objectives will be to intimidate and steal their votes. He emphasised that they should not spare the thugs. “Kill them if you see them at your villages and polling units”, he charged.

The APC candidate warned the PDP and its government in Kogi state to refrain from their evil plans,  give peace a chance and allow democracy to flourish as being enjoyed in other states.

According to Audu, the state has receded in terms of development since he left office in 2003 due to lack of commitment to people’s desire for   prosperity and progress.

In his remarks, Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives,Honourable Umar Buba Jibrin, urged the people of Kogi West Senatorial district to vote massively for APC as the state cannot afford to be in the opposition.

The lawmaker advised APC supporters not to allow themselves to be intimidated or succumb to PDP’s doctrine of do or die.
