Guinea-Bissau coach Paulo Torres has been banned for the rest of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for abusing a referee.

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) found Torres guilty of using “offensive language and insults towards the referee.”

The incident happened during a goalless draw against Zambia in June.

Torres will miss home and away ties against Kenya in March next year and then games against Congo and Zambia.

The draw for Guinea-Bissau left them bottom of Group E with a single point, only the pool winners are guaranteed a place at the 2017 finals in Gabon.
