ENUGU—THE authorities of the University of Nigeria, UNN Nsukka have announced plans to encourage publication of academic books and research works by lecturers and staff of the institution.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Barth Okolo, said in an interactive session with the University Community, that the move was part of efforts to increase the output of the university’s staff in the core area of research, adding that the management “would support staff in finding research collaborators, research grants, sabbatical positions and participation in exchange programmes.â€
He said that an American university, North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota recently announced its partnership with the University of Nigeria, where both institutions would collaborate in teaching, staff training and research work.
