Algerian women’s national volleyball team beat their Nigerian counterparts 3-1 (21-25, 25-12,25-13, 25-15) on Sunday, at Massemba-Debat sports hall in  Brazzaville, on their second day (Group B) of the 11th All Africa Games taking place in the Republic of Congo.

Team Nigeria’s woes in the volleyball event of the on-going 11th All Africa Games continue as Team Algeria women’s volleyball handed out a 3-1 defeat to their Team Nigeria counterparts in continuation of the Group B games here in Brazzaville on Monday.

Similarly, Team Nigeria men’s Volleyball team fell 1-3 to host country, Congo Brazzaville.

The match was decided at the Indoor Sports Hall of the GAMD in Diata late Sunday night.

Team Nigeria have four more games to play in the group against Cape Verde, Cameroon, Mozambique and Kenya.

Victory in at least three of the games will enhance their qualification for the next round of the volleyball event and possibly having an eye on the podium at the All Africa Games.
