The 2015 NNPC/Chevron Summer Tennis Clinic has ended at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club in Onikan, with the sponsors thrilling the kids with tennis bags and sumptuous lunch.
After 21 days of coaching and mentoring by coaches and instructors the 100 kids who participated in the clinic had one last opportunity to refresh and look back at the gains of the last three weeks when they met the sponsors who said they were proud of their conduct and performance during their stay.
“We are impressed with your behaviour and performance and wish that you keep up the good work as you depart from the camp”, said Chevron spokesman, Deji Harstrup.
Coordinator of the Chevron Tennis Clinic, Chris Enahoro told reporters that 16 kids were selected on merit from the 100 to undergo further training at the Chevron Tennis Academy in preparation for the Chevron Tennis Masters slated for October.
He added that champions of the 36 States of the country including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja will be competing at the foremost junior tennis tournament in the country
