KADUNA — Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, his Kaduna State counterpart, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, and Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group of Companies, are among dignitaries expected at the 27th annual national education conference of National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, NUTGTWN.
Also expected are the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, governors and National Assembly members.
The conference will hold in Kaduna on the theme Buhari Administration: Revival of Textile Industry and Employment Creation, between August 25 and 28.
The union, in a statement by its President and General Secretary, Oladele Hunsu and Issa Aremu, respectively, said: “The conference brings together all stakeholders, notably organised labour, from the remaining textile mills in Nigeria, captains of industry and government officials, among others, to discuss ways and means to help the new government fulfil its electoral promise of reviving the textile industry and creation of jobs within the shortest possible period.”
It said Mallam Mamman Daura, Chairman of the Board of Funtua Textile Mill in Katsina State, would chair the occasion
