Ibadan—SOME of the exhibits tendered before the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, yesterday by former Governor Rashidi Ladoja in the petition he filed against Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s victory in the April 11 elections were admitted.

At the time of filing this report,  exhibits already admitted include  a report of an inspection of election materials used for the April 11 election,

INEC approved guidelines and regulations in connection with the conduct of 2015 elections, a certified true copies of data and readings from the card readers and others.

Hearing of the petition filed by Ladoja, who was the candidate of Accord Party in the election began in earnest yesterday after the conclusion of pre hearing on Monday.

Ladoja is challenging the declaration of INEC which gave victory to Governor Ajimobi saying the election results were not true reflection of the votes cast.

Although the first and second task force’s counsel opposed the admissibility of the documents, it was accepted and marked by the tribunal.

At the time of filing this report, reports from three local governments, namely Atiba, Atisbo and Iseyin had been tendered, admitted and marked as exhibits five to 34.
