Justice Ibrahim Mairiga of Kebbi State High Court has sentenced Suleiman Ibrahim Musa, Bilyaminu Usman and Lawal Suleiman to 91 years imprisonment for defrauding a bank to the tune of N114.6 million.

While Suleiman Ibrahim Musa was convicted for 55 years, Bilyaminu Usman was sentenced to seven years imprisonment. Similarly, Lawal Suleiman was convicted for 29 years, bringing all sentences to 91 years.

The trio were convicted on a 16-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery, theft and criminal breach of trust brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The convicts, who are former members of staff of FinBank Plc (acquired by First City Monument Bank Plc in 2011), Birnin-Kebbi branch in Kebbi State, were first arraigned on July 21, 2010, and had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
