Killing of Enugu monarch: 2 more suspects in police net

Enugu—ANOTHER two suspects linked with the alleged killing of the traditional ruler of Nkerefi have been arrested, thereby bringing to three, the number of suspects in police net.

Enugu State police command’s spokesman, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the additional arrest in a press statement, yesterday.
According to the statement: “Another two suspects, who participated alongside with the said suspect in the killing of the monarch were on August 2, 3, 2015, nabbed by police operatives at Nara, Nkerefi and Iheokwuru village, both neighbouring communities to Nkerefi, while man-hunt on the remaining suspects, who participated, is intensified.

“The suspects who gave their names as Ifeanyichukwu Eze, alias Nwanwanyi Agbala of Nkerefi and Ogbuife Chinedu, alias Osama bin Ladin, also from Nkerefi, are helping the operatives in their investigations, which is in full scale.

“Ogbuife Chinedu is a carpenter, but has a bunk for the consumption of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp as well as the type known as monkey tail where as Ifeanyichukwu Eze, also claimed to be an upholstery maker, but usually visits the bunk.”

One  Sunday  Edwin Agbara was earlier arrested in connection with the alleged killing of the Enugu monarch, Igwe Peter Onuoha on July 11, this year.
