ABUJA – The Presidency has said that governing councils   of federal universities were not among the boards of federal government institutions dissolved. They are to run as constituted, at least for the time being.

It will be recalled that President Mohammadu Buhari on July 16, announced dissolution of Boards of Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions and Government-Owned Companies.

A statement from the presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, yesterday, said that “All Vice Chancellors of Federal Universities have been informed of this exemption through a circular issued by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mr. Danladi Kifasi.”\
