The Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki on Tuesday, said that Nigerians did not give members of the National Assembly (NASS) mandates to scramble over leadership positions.
Saraki who tweeted via @bukolasaraki, pointed that leadership positions in the NASS is secondary to lawmakers’ primary responsibility of good governance.
“Nigerians did not give us mandate to come & pursue leadership, mandate was for us to pursue governance & bring solutions to burning issues.
“#Leadership is secondary to our primary responsibility of good governance,” he tweeted.
