BENIN CITY—THE Onojie of Opoji and first Vice Chairman, Edo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Ehidiamen Aidonojie 1, has said that the  traditional rulers in the state will back any governorship candidate endorsed by Governor Adams Oshiomhole for 2016 poll.

He described as  tremendous, the opening of rural communities and infrastructural development of the state by the governor, adding that traditional rulers in the three senatorial districts of the state  have been accorded their privileges and respects as stipulated by the constitution by the governor.

Briefing newsmen, yesterday, on the activities for his 29th coronation and 60th birthday anniversary scheduled for this weekend at Opoji, Esan Central Local Government Area of the state, he said: “We want a governor that will have the kind of heart like Oshiomhole. Oshiomhole has made sure that we are comfortable. We do not want a governor that will bring us back to poverty. What I mean by that is whatever percentage you are sending to the council even when they say it is five percent, they give you one and half percent or two percent, we don’t want that kind of government.”
