By Emma Amaize

ASABA—KIDNAPPERS took to their heels, abandoning their victim, a 13-year-old girl, Mordi Ogor, abducted on June 26, when police operatives from Ogwashi-Uku Police Division, Delta State  stormed their den at Ubuluku community in the state.

Ogor, earlier abducted with her mother, Mrs Mordi Felicia, at Ogwashi-Uku was rescued unhurt by the police, who had earlier rescued her mother. The kidnappers, who fled in a scurry, left Ogor still blindfolded.

Police spokesperson in the state, Celestina Kalu, in a statement, yesterday, said:

“Based on the information, the operatives moved to the area. However, the hoodlums on noticing the presence of the policemen fled and abandoned the blindfolded victim.”
