Governor  Olusegun Mimiko has lauded what he described as the “uncommon synergy” between Christians and Muslims in Ondo State, even as   he applauded the decision of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrimage Commission (NCPC)  to commence its annual pre- pilgrimage sensitization tour from the state.

The annual  national pre -holy pilgrimage sensitization exercise by the NCPC  kicked off in Akure, the state capital, yesterday, with Mimiko pledging his government’s commitment to the provision of the enabling environment for peace and development in the state.

He made the pledge while addressing the NCPC team, led by the Executive Secretary, Rev. John Kennedy Opara, during a courtesy call on him.

The governor thanked  Opara for kick-starting the exercise in Ondo  and stressed the importance of fervent prayers for the nation at this crucial moment.
