In his determined effort to touch lives and empower the youths, seasoned motivational speaker, author,  business man  and publisher of a business bulletin, Greatness 101, a monthly publication that inspires youths to reach their goals and attain greatness in any endeavor, Uche Ahubelem paid a visit to Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice in Surulere.

Ahubelem who is the MD, C.E.O of Brickwall group of companies, a company devoted to the provision of a wide range of goods and entertainment outfit did this through his non-governmental organization known as Uche Ahubelem Centre for Human Development – U.A.C.H.D.

The non-governmental organization, which he founded in 2015 has been in the business of empowering youths has organised many programmes for youths but recently showed its heart of gold when he took his people to what can be described as the mother of all visits to the home. It was indeed a real show of love that apart from the numerous gift items that comprises foods, children needs and others also gave a cheque of five hundred thousand naira to the matron, Mrs Adedoyin for the upkeep of the home.

An elated Mrs Adedoyin, matron of the Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice  who took out time to narrate how she started the home took them round the wards where they saw children with one form of deformity or the other who were abandoned by the mothers because of their deformity. She thanked Mr Ahubelem for the visit and the donations and prayed for them.

She also asked Ahubelem to endeavor to visit the place always. “Apart from money, try and be visiting this place from time to time. We don’t ask people for help, since God instructed me to stop asking for money, it has been great, people just come here and assist us.”  She added.

Ahubelem who was touched with the plight of the children confessed that he never knew that there are people living in such condition and said  “this is really something else, I am really touched, I commend you for what you are doing. God will bless you. What you are doing is God approved, so I believe that UACHD will be part of it.”

On how the idea of the visit came, Ahubelem who added another year to his age said, “ I celebrated my birthday last year in a big way, but decided to do it with the less privileged this year. I felt that it will not be wise doing it like I did last year because there are people that need the money better, people that the money can touch their lives in a better way, so I decided to do it this way. What I have seen today, marveled me and people need to come and help them.”

Since its inception in 2015 U.A.C.H.D  has also organized a training seminar titled “Life-Proven Secret of Success” which was held at the Food & Sun hall of Eko Hotel & Suites Lagos. The event which was free of charge was done majorly to motivate youths to become better individuals, discover and maximize their inborn potentials. Out of the 6,502 applications received, only 80 people were chosen based on their vision, passion and skills.
