THE lawmaker representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Senator Ben Murray Bruce, has urged Nigerian youths to see the country from a pro-youth outlook and not a pro-PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) or pro-APC (All Progressives Congress) perspective.

The #Commonsense advocate also tasked the government to provide opportunities for the youths as a way of tackling insurgency and militancy in the country.

Most Nigerian youths were dived along party lines following the 2015 elections.

“I advise youths not to look at Nigeria from a pro PDP or APC perspective, but with a pro youth outlook. Your future is greater than a party.

If governments focus on providing opportunity for their people, they will not have to focus on fighting insecurity amongst their people.

Terrorism and militancy thrive where youths don’t have opportunities. Provide youths with opportunities and these problems will disappear,” he posted on his Twitter handle.
