Awka—THE National Executive Committee, NEC, of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has expressed concern over what it described as the slow and somewhat unsettled disposition of the government led by All Progressives Congress, APC, to critical national issues that required immediate attention.
The party, through its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Ifeatu Obiokoye, said in Awka, Tuesday, that the NEC of APGA believed that it was time for the Federal Government to move the nation forward in the larger interest of Nigerian people who had been going though trying times.
Obiokoye said: “We, in APGA, remain convinced that the only hallmark for good governance, capable of meeting the yearnings of the Nigerian people, is one founded on unquestionable commitment and determination to nation- building and based on concrete and discernible programmes.
“APGA is disturbed about the slow and somewhat unsettled disposition of the Federal Government to critical national issues that require immediate engagement.
“No doubt, it will take sometime to clear the mess inflicted on the economy of this nation by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, – led government. Nonetheless, the patience of Nigerians should not be taken for granted by the APC -led government at the centre.”
He said the NEC of APGA was committed to re-branding the party to ensure it continued its role as a viable and credible alternative in the national political scheme, assuring Nigerians that APGA would surely evolve from a regional concern to an emerging national party with a commitment towards providing a credible platform based on true democratic principles and ideals.
