UYO—As part of efforts toward industrialising Akwa Ibom State, the state governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, has ordered the re-designing of Uyo, the capital city, to ease traffic flow in and out of the state.

Governor Emmanuel who gave the directive, yesterday, when elders of Uyo senatorial district, led by former Military Administrator of state, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, paid him a courtesy visit at Government House in Uyo, said the redesigning of the Uyo capital city was expedient to ensure free-flow of traffic which the industrial revolution would generate.

“We have noticed traffic jam in Uyo and we are going to re-design the city to make ensure that the flow is actually what the business community will appreciate.”
