Adadevoh, other Ebola heroes to be honoured at NHEA

Late Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh and other healthcare workers who personally sacrificed their lives to ensure the containment of Ebola in Nigeria will be honoured at the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Awards, NHEA.

Adadevoh, alongside other medical team handled the initial case of Ebola in Nigeria.  The award is recognition for their efforts in quick containment and control of the dreaded virus. Their dedication and sacrifice for the greater good of the nation is inspirational and deserves the honour that will be bestowed on them.

Disclosing this in Lagos, Chief Executive Officer of Global Health Project and Resources and Programme Director of NHEA, Dr. Wale Alabi, said: “Dr. Adadevoh and her colleagues deserve to be celebrated for their noble role. The late doctor’s courage saved the lives of many people.”

In a related development, the NHEA jury of reputable professionals is expected to announce the nominees for the various categories on June 15, 2015, after which voting will commence and winners will be announced at a grand ballroom ceremony billed to hold June 26, 2015 in Lagos.

Already, over 80 organisations and individuals have been nominated.
