WARRI—CLERICS under the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, have urged the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, to ensure passage and assent to the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, within his first 100 days in office as President of Nigeria.

Bishop Simeon Okah, PFN National Vice President, South South, made the appeal, yesterday in Warri, Delta State at the  gathering of Christian Pentecostal believers to inaugurate the South South executive of the body.

Bishop Okah, founder of the Flock of Christ Mission, also tasked Buhari to give preference to Nigerians with credible track records above partisan sentiments in the selection of his cabinet so as  to rescue the country from its current woes.

Okah said: “We who travel out of this country are ashamed. How can we be top producers of crude oil in the world and yet can’t build refineries? Those who don’t have oil in their states should stop standing against the PIB which is still before the National Assembly.”
