A Tunisian soldier killed some of his comrades in a shooting at a barracks near parliament on Monday but it was not a “terrorist” attack, the interior ministry said.
“The incident which took place at the Bouchoucha barracks is not connected with a terrorist operation,” ministry spokesman Mohamed Ali Aroui told AFP.
“There were dead and wounded” in the shooting, not far from the Bardo National Museum, where jihadist gunmen killed 21 foreign tourists and a policeman in March, he added.
