PORT HARCOURT— GOVERNOR Rotimi Amaechi  of Rivers State has called for the probe of the roles played by the Nigerian Army and the Police in the last general elections.

Amaechi, yesterday at a thanksgiving service by the Greater Together Organization of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Port Harcourt, said the Police and the Army were allegedly used to rob the APC of victory in the last elections.

“Let us ask the Federal Government to investigate the crisis in Rivers State. The Army should be investigated because they participated in the general elections.

“Why do I have to thank God? For our lives. He answered our prayers by making General Muhammadu Buhari the president. Imagine if Buhari did not win? Just sleep and wake up and imagine that Buhari did not win, what would have happened?”

“Imagine that Buhari did not win, they wouldn’t have allowed us to enter this hall, even though we are still in government.”
