Vanguard learned that the police at Festac, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Ifeanyi Owoh, stormed the hide-out and succeeded in rounding up the cultists who converged on their operational base located in an abandoned building on 41 Road.

They were said to have come from neighbouring communities such as Ijanikin, Ojo, Ajangbadi, Ajegunle and Satellite Town.

It was gathered that efforts are ongoing to recover their arms and apprehend fleeing members of the gang whose activities had been giving residents of the community sleepless nights.

Confirming the arrest, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said: “Investigation is still ongoing and the suspects would be arraigned in court soon.”
