Star SuperFans, the popular game show, witnessed an explosive matchup in the fifth episode at the weekend. Featuring two evenly-matched teams, Ultimate FC made up of five Chelsea fans and Five Star FC made up of five Arsenal supporters, the episode became the first to go to penalties since the inception of the game show, and it saw tension and excitement reach an unprecedented level.
Ultimate FC’s Patrick Oti kicked off proceedings with a 20-pointer, which he missed, and Five Star FC’s Chinedu Mmadu did likewise. Babatunde Clement and Ejike Madueke both missed for Ultimate FC and Five Star FC respectively before Timothy Ike of Ultimate FC scored the game’s first 20-pointer, moving his team deep into Five Star FC’s territory. James Samuel and Collins Ugwu then missed questions for Five Star and Ultimate before Kelechi Ohaju of Five Star replied with a correctly answered 20-pointer. Ultimate’s Chukwuma Oragui then missed his question and Trust Monday Andah of Five Star scored a 10-pointer to end a tense first half delicately poised with the scores at nil-nil.
The second half followed in the same pattern as the first, with both teams missing all their questions until Ultimate FC scored a 10-pointer.
