The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC says, it is collaborating with the security agencies to curb the activities of criminal elements in the country.
The Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Eugene Juwah stated this at a parley with newsmen in Abuja.
Juwah, who spoke while fielding questions on the contribution of the Commission in fighting insecurity in the country, said though, the Commission is not a security outfit but had leveraged Information Communication Technology, ICT as an enabler to assist the security agencies to track and apprehend criminals in recent times.
Juwah, who spoke through the Director of Public Affairs in the Commission, Mr. Tony Ojobo, said the Commission had done so much to support security community by establishing a robust data base of telephone users in Nigeria through the concluded Sim Card registration exercise.
