The leadership of Okpe Youth Council, OYC, has congratulated President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), Delta State Governor-elect, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa; Chief Ighoyota Amori; Mr. Monday Igbuya, Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori and Evelyn Oboro, on their victory in the just-concluded general elections.

A statement by President of the group, Mr. Sunday Akporavware; Public Relations Officer, Mr. Emmanuel Oghoro; and Secretary of the OYC, Mr. Raymond Osharakpor, described their victory as well deserved, noting that with the incoming administration, Nigeria will get a new lease of life.

It urged all Okpe sons and daughters at home and in the Diaspora to join hands and support the new administration, while OYC also condemning the recent xenophobic attack on Nigerians in South Africa.

Chief Amori is Senator-elect for Delta Central; Mr. Igbuya, member-elect, Sapele state constituency; member-elect, Okpe constituency, both in the Delta State House of Assembly; Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori, Okpe state constituency, and Evelyn Oboro, member-elect, Sapele, Okpe and Uvwie Federal constituency.
