WARRI—GOVERNOR Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has hailed the Olu of Warri, HRM Ogiame Atuwatse II, for his progressive reign on the throne of the Warri Kingdom, saying that his kingship has brought remarkable growth to the Itsekiri nation.

Uduaghan, represented by his deputy, Prof. Amos Utuama, commended the monarch, yesterday, during a thanksgiving service to round off celebration of the royal father’s 28th coronation anniversary.

Uduaghan, who took the scripture reading at the Four Square Gospel Chuch, Aghofen (Olu Palace) parish, prayed God to give the monarch the grace for more celebrations, peaceful and beneficial reign over his kingdom.

General Overseer, Four Square Gospel Church in Nigeria, Rev. Felix Omedoye and former Information Minister,  Prof. Sam Oyovbaire also congratulated the monarch in their separate remarks, noting that his selfless service has brought tremendous improvement to Iwere Kingdom.

In a sermon, Rev. Utienyin Akperin enjoined Itsekiri indigenes to always shun sin and other social vices and lean more toward appreciating God for his “goodness and mercy.”
