FORUM of All Progressives Congress, APC, Local Government Chapters Chairmen in Akwa Ibom State, has debunked claims that it congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  governorship candidate, Mr. Udom Emmanuel in the last governorship election in the state.

Briefing newsmen in Uyo, the group’s chairman, Mr. Nkereuwem Okpok said it was misleading for anyone to have done that when the APC, did not accept the outcome of the poll.

His words: ‘’Our attention has been drawn to a press conference statement by some people, who claimed to be Chapter Chairmen of the APC in the state on April 28,   2015. In the press statement, they issued a congratulatory message to Udom Emmanuel, the PDP Governorship candidate in the April 11 election.

“The individuals, who addressed the press conference are neither  members nor chapter chairmen of the APC in the state.   They are imposters, pretenders and hirelings. They are are going about deceiving people in the name of politics. We are the authentic chapter chairmen of the APC in the state; and we are the ones that had signed a communiqué dated April 19, 2015 in which we reaffirmed our support and loyalty to our Party, the APC and our governorship candidate, Mr Umana Okon Umana.”
