Foundation moves to sustain the legacies of Fr. Stan Anih

ENUGU—A non-profit making organisation, Prof. Stan Chinedu Anih, PROFSCA,Foundation, has held a one-week memorial activities to mark the first anniversary of its benefactor, Rev. Fr. Stan Anih, who was renowned for his ecumenical activities in communities in Enugu State and beyond.

Anih was until his death on April last year, founder, Ecumenical Secondary School, Thinkers Corner, in Enugu as well as the African Thinkers Community of Inquiry College of Education, ATCOICOE, Enugu and the Coal City University, among others.

In a symposium, entitled, “African Intellectualism and Creative Ingenuity-Next Level,” the Chairman of the occasion, Prof. Ukwu.I.Ukwu said: “The Foundation to commit its resources, identify best brains available in the globe as well as ensure that intellectual and practical steps are taken towards solving Africa’s major problems beginning with capacity building to resource attraction and allocation in order to positively transform our immediate communities, towards uplifting the ideals of tolerance among religions which Fr. Anih preached.

He said: ”When Fr. Anih was alive, he never demonised other religions. He saw their practice as a quest for good. “He worked for the development of Igbo language. He wanted Igbo language to be among global languages. That is why he worked assiduously to produce an Igbo dictionary.”
