Isoko Youth Voice, IYV, has said the Isoko ethnic nationality deserves a slot in the ministerial appointments of the incoming administration of President-elect, Gen. Muhamadu Buhari(retd).
The group said Isoko nation had been marginalized since 1976, without a ministerial appointment.
Speaking after a meeting at Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, the group’s President, Engr. Philip Onyeke and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Prince Udemude, appealed to the President-elect to consider Isoko people, as they were peace-loving.
They urged Buhari to remain committed to his avowed pledge of fighting corruption and to run an all-inclusive government that will strengthen democracy, describing the President-elect as a trusted and reliable leader.
Also, they specifically urged him to include the Isoko nation in the Export Processing Zone, EPZ, project that is in progress in Delta State.
