The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Ekiti Assembly election in Ilejemeje State constituency, Mrs Bose Dada has been
declared winner of the supplementary election conducted on Saturday by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
With this victory the PDP now has 25 out of the 26 seats in the State House of Assembly.
The INEC Returning Officer for the election, Mrs Chiyelu Agwu, the PDP candidate, Bose Dada polled a total of 3,449 to trounce the candidate of the All Progressives Congress and incumbent lawmaker in the constituency, Hon Segun Erinle who polled 2,715 to come second. The Labour Party candidate scored 48votes while Unity Party of Nigeria and ACPN polled 7 and 2 respectively.
The INEC Public Relations Officer in the State, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegesin told newsmen in Ado Ekiti that Dada would be presented the Certificate of Return by the commission next week.
