THERE is palpable tension in Rumuosi community in Akpor Kingdom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers state over land sharing, and the aggrieved youths of the area have allegedly chased their traditional ruler out of the community.

The Rumuosi community which is one of the host communities to University of Port Harcourt yesterday witnessed a free-for-all following an alleged claim that the paramount ruler of the community and a cartel have been secretly selling off the community land.

Based on this the community was thrown into confusion which has resulted into exchange of dangerous weapons. Saturday Vanguard gathered that the paramount ruler of the community has been chased out of the community by some aggrieved youths who were on rampage.

A reliable source from the community who related the development to Saturday Vanguard said the issue of few people selling off the land belonging to the entire family has lingered for long, adding that it has ended in a free-for-all.
